Professional Actor - Equity Membership Candidate

Trained through the esteemed BFA Acting program at Ithaca College, and abroad at the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia (National Theatre Institute's "MATS" program) and the IC London Center in England. Josh is based in upstate New York, between Binghamton and Ithaca, and works regularly with many companies throughout the region. He is often sought for his physical acting approach (Edgar, KING LEAR), his playfulness and vivacity within ensembles (Clown, THE 39 STEPS), and for his comfort with adapting to a wide range of theatrical styles (Puppeteer in THE SNOW QUEEN, Austin in TRUE WEST, Edmund in LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT).

Josh also has developed an ease at creating rapport with audiences during interactive performances. This has earned him roles such as Man in Chair (THE DROWSY CHAPERONE) as well as opportunities to host lectures and events, such as "Pops" concerts with the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra (THE MAGICAL MUSIC OF HARRY POTTER, A NIGHT AT THE BALLET's ROMEO & JULIET, and STAR WARS, MAY THE FOURTH).


A director who loves exploring new plays and various styles, especially through collaboration. Experienced in adapting scripts from mythology, children's books, fairy tales, and classical scripts. Often, Josh can be found collaborating with playwrights on staging or developing new works. Additionally he has directed musical theatre, concept plays, family theatre, Shakespeare, youth, and interactive performances, and he regularly assists with fight choreography, having basic training in swordplay as well as hand-to-hand stage combat. He also has assisted with intimacy coaching, and encourages all productions to be approached with empathy and a social/political awareness.


With students ages 6-65, Josh has taught classes and workshops on a range of topics including: auditioning, improv comedy, ensemble acting, masks and movement, drama for beginners, Acting 101, college prep, script analysis, stage combat, and more! Josh also assists local theaters and high schools with stage combat and introducing safety concepts to theatre artists.
